Bollywood filmmaker Zoya Akhtar finds it "silly" to raise questions on Shah Rukh Khan's credentials as he's truly a loyalist to the country.
"It is too silly to prove Shah Rukh's credentials. He is a great loyalist to this country, it's stupid to say something like this about him. And he's got a billion people supporting him. Shah Rukh is fine," Zoya said when asked about the controversy wherein some politicians attacked SRK for his comment on "extreme tolerance" in India.
Speaking about the 'award wapsi' trend that has caught on among artistes across the cinema, art and literature worlds, Zoya said: "I think it is the most peaceful way of saying things, expressing things. I support them. If I had the national award, I would possibly return it."
Zoya is not the first person from the film fraternity to lend her support for King Khan's controversy regarding the ‘intolerance’ remark. Many actors such as Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood have also voiced their opinions on the same.
