Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘ABCD 2’ continued to do well in its second weekend. The film grossed 16 crore nett and has taken its business to around 87.50 crore nett. This was the second highest second weekend of the year after ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and better than films like ‘Gabbar Is Back’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
‘ABCD 2’ is still going strong in the Mumbai circuit where the business has surpassed 33 crore nett and is nearing to 37 crore nett, which is 5 weeks total of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.
Meanwhile, Zoya’s family saga ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ has collected 75 crores nett in its fourth weekend. ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ stands at 146.50 crore nett after its fifth weekend. It will be the 11th highest grossing film of all time.
Last week’s release ‘Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho’ has earned 1.03 crores in its first weekend. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed and tweeted, “#MissTanakpurHaazirHo Fri 31 lacs, Sat 33 lacs, Sun 39 lacs. Total: 1.03 cr. India biz.”
